The story of pizzaria speck

Get to know the faces behind Pizzeria Speck in Rotterdam: a brother and sister duo I've known for years. When I shifted my graphic work to digital, I missed the feel of drawing by hand.

I used to do chalk art on the side, and that's how I ended up tending to the big chalkboard in their restaurant whenever they changed their menu. Alongside the lettering, I'd add small illustrations. One thing led to another, and before I knew it, I'd sketched a portrait of the two siblings along with their little teckel, Louis.

That portrait ended up becoming the label for all their house wines. It's funny how things evolve! Swing by Pizzeria Speck to savor their delicious dishes and maybe catch a glimpse of our collaborative artwork.
